Firstly we talk to our customers - we are small enough not to 'benefit'
from automated switchboards and the inevitable voice mail that goes
with that. We believe there is no substitute for talking to people
and that understanding your needs and those of your business is the
first step to a strong long term relationship which we think is in
everyones' interest.
Secondly we don't always claim to get it right! Nobody in this business
can be right all of the time - the complexity and the pace of change
means that we are constantly having to innovate both our products
and the way we deliver our solutions and services. So we will use
technology where it is appropriate - currently we are developing
our in house web based support and project management tools. These
will enable us to ensure that we can track issues and, within the
complexity of a given project, allow you, the customer, to participate
and comment.
For consultancy based projects we develop with you a project brief,
scoping document and, if appropriate, any tender documentation.
For projects using our products we have a specific and unusual approach.
We believe that web based solutions are about functionality, ease
of use and presentation. But presentation must follow functionality.
Just think about it - almost all the worlds most successful e-business
transactional sites are less than pretty! But they make their owners
money. So we prototype your project using the approach of creating
a 'grey screen' site. This moves to having all the agreed functionality
and only when this is signed off by you the client do we wrap the
presentation around the content - and yes we can make it look pretty
too!
