What will I learn?
Search engine optimisation is a relatively new, and still evolving discipline.
However, there are enough similarities between all search engines that some
general rules can be formulated. This course is designed to teach you about
those general rules, to examine the peculiarities of some specific search
engines on a case by case basis, and help you plan and execute a properly
constructed, well thought out Internet Marketing plan.
As well as the general rules of search engine optimisation, we spend some
time looking at your site specifically, identifying its current strengths
and weaknesses, and helping you decide what your priorities should be, and
how best to achieve them
Will I be able to apply what I learn?
It's all very well learning about the finer points of search engine optimisation,
but actually being able to use them is another matter. This course is specifically
designed to benefit people who are interested in looking after their website,
understanding why it has the listings it has, and what can be done to improve
them. It has been written with a non-technical student in mind, so you do
not need to have a large amount of specialised technical knowledge to get
benefit from the course.
Of course, you must have some basic computer literacy skills, and you must
have access to the code for your website in order to be able to change anything,
but other than that, you will be pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to
promote your site on the World's search engines. The only other requirement
is time. Once you know what you need to do, investing just a few hours a month
could turn your website into a real traffic powerhouse
How long will all this take?
The course itself is programmed to run for half a day. For clients whose
premises are within a reasonable driving distance, we offer on-site delivery
of the course for no extra charge. Where travel times would push the total
time too high, we must charge for travel and subsistence.
The course is designed as a one-to-one experience, and although other members
of staff are welcome to attend, the course is paced to the progress of the
identified "student". Alternatively, return to the options
